The course was designed by one of the world’s most renowned architects Mr. Ron M. Garl. Once he set feet on the 770-rai flat open land of Today’s Alpine Golf Club, the architect’s vision was to build Thailand’s one and only man-made hilly championship golf course. Challenges at Alpine Golf Club made Alpine the venue of the Johnnie Walker Classic Tournament in 2000 and 2004 and for other important international tournaments such as the 13th Asian Games in 1998, the Thailand Major Open Tournament of 1997 and 1998, Thai Airways PGA Tournament and Thailand Ladies Open in 2005.
